We can transcribe your sermons, lectures or notes and produce them in book or booklet format for your congregation.
Our rates are very reasonable. We charge for every recorded minute for recorded transcriptions. Charging in this way ensures that you only pay for what is recorded. (Ex. 120 minute recording, charged for 120 minutes of transcription.) For hand-written notes, we charge by the page after the information has been compiled. If you have really bad penmanship (no offense,) the rate will be higher according to the level of difficulty we experience in understanding your writing.
What type of transcription do you need?
- Verbatim — Every utterance transcribed just as the speaker said it.
- Near-Verbatim —A clean transcript minus all of the verbal ticks such as the “ums,” “ahs,” “likes,” and “you knows.”
- Multiple Speakers — All speakers will be identified as “male” or “female” unless otherwise requested.
- Multiple Speakers with Name Identification — If you would like for multiple speakers to be identified by name or number, we require that either a VHS or DVD be provided so we can see the speaker.
Transcription Rates
· Option 1 — $1.75 / Minute (Base Rate)
o This price is for one minute of digital audio with a clear recording. No more than two voices.
· Option 2 — $2.75 / Minute
o Digital or taped recordings with three speakers
o Recording in which one or more of the voices is difficult to hear
o Recording has significant noise or static
· Option 3 — $3.75 / Minute
o Digital or taped recordings with four or more speakers, i.e., panel discussions, focus groups, seminars, or conference calls
o Recordings with technical and/or Biblical terminology
o Recordings with heavy accents or very low voices
Before we commit to your particular project, we will do a trial run by listening to the recording and ascertain the level of difficulty the transcriptionist can expect. If we do encounter problems with the quality, you will be contacted immediately to obtain permission to charge at a higher rate.
